In Brazil, cases of dengue increased alarmingly. These numbers have grown from 40.279 in 1990 to 589.100 in 2014. Currently the disease is considered a public health problem, especially in the Southeast. This study aimed to evaluate the spatial distribution and density of dengue cases in the period 2005-2014, in the urban space of Itu, São Paulo, Brazil. The confirmed cases were raised by the Zoonosis Control Center of the city, resulting in the case rate for each district and its density by kernel analysis. A georeferenced digital base was Built containing the geoinformation of the disease, linked to neighborhoods with vector to the spatial distribution analysis of cases and incidence of dengue. In the period 2005-2014 were recorded 1379 dengue cases, with 1214 autochthonous cases and 165 imported cases. The cases autochthonous registered are related to the precariousness of urban infrastructure with the absence of adequate sanitation and garbage collection. The year 2013 obtained the highest notification and largest registry of autochthonous and imported cases of dengue. The spatial distribution of cases rate highlighted the strong occurrence in the central strip with three main clusters, helping the understanding of the spatial dynamics of dengue in the city over time.
